We’re holding all food & beverage workers close this holiday season. As our teams take a short, well-deserved pause, here are a few important reminders:

Emergency Relief Fund: Applications will be paused from December 17, 2025, to January 4, 2026. Please apply before the application closes on December 16 at 5 PM CT. If you have an ongoing case, you can continue working with your case manager. Please reach out to them with any concerns about closures and deadlines.

Behind You Mental Health Program: Applications remain open, and services will be available in January. The earlier you apply, the quicker we can determine eligibility, and you can be ready for when services commence.

Texas Hill Country Floods: Applications close 12/16.

In 2013, three childhood friends from Alief, Texas – brothers Robin Wong and Terry Wong, and Quy Hoang – decided to share their backyard barbecue with the masses. Their common love for good friends, good beer, and good BBQ would be featured through monthly pop-ups and barbecue festivals throughout Houston. These events would lead to a cult-like following that demanded a brick-and-mortar, and five years later in 2018, they succumbed to their fans’ wishes and opened a restaurant in Bellaire, Texas. Since, they’ve been featured in multiple national and international publications and television programs. They’ve also been nominated for The New York Times’ 50 Best Restaurants 2021, Texas Monthly’s Top-50 Texas BBQ Joints 2021, and were a finalist in 2022 for the James Beard Foundation Best Chef: Texas award.
