WHERE WILL I BE COOKING:

Born and raised in Houston a first-generation Lebanese American, Rafael Nasr learned the key components of Mediterranean food while spending summers with his grandmother and uncle in Lebanon. Nasr started a campus food truck while enrolled at Texas Christian University, then moved back to Houston to begin his culinary career. After working as a general manager and kitchen manager, primarily with Pappas Restaurants, Nasr opened Craft Pita in 2019. He expanded the concept with a second Houston location in 2023, and is also involved in community organizations such as Refugee Services of Texas, Plant It Forward, and Belong Kitchen.
